Public Service Annoucement 30.5.2020

As these very difficult times continue to unfold we want to update you as to how we are supporting people and adapting to a different world. As of 1st June, we will be able to offer face to face meetings to arrange funerals at our office in Marlpool Lane, Kidderminster. We can also offer Zoom meetings or Skype if you prefer this.Appointments will need to be made for meetings so please call or email to arrange these. We are very flexible and happy to have meetings in the evenings and weekends as well as during the weekdays. We are opening our beautiful ceremony room again for viewings of loved ones and small family vigils the day before an unattended cremation. We will of course ensure the room is cleansed before and after your visit, and provide hand sanitiser for your use.Although options remain reduced in that no limousines are currently available and numbers are limited at the crematoria to between 10 and 20 people locally (Stourbridge and Wyre Forest respectively), we are able to facilitate meaningful and personalised ceremonies, however due to the limited options we have reduced our professional fees by 10%.Our local crematoria are offering live screening of ceremonies should this be desired.Despite options being limited we do want to reassure you that people have still been able to carry out beautifully personal and reflective ceremonies in a number of ways, for example we have been processing with the hearse around chosen places to enable friends and neighbours to pay their respects and feel part of the ceremony. We have also conducted ceremonies outside where possible so that people can look on from a distance, here is a review from a recent funeral “You handled it all so well, Mike striding out in front of the hearse, so old-fashioned, beautiful and moving… and patiently the stage was set, the trees, the sunshine, the speeches, all of it so fitting, so professional…I can’t thank you enough for what could have been a depressing, low day was lifted up into the blue skies and beyond, you so helped in that last farewellWe continue to work to our high standards to try to support you through funeral arrangements. We are here to answer any questions so please get in touch, despite what the press are saying you really can still have a meaningful farewell.
